An Extended Look Into Grand Theft Auto VI Is Coming To Netflix
Rockstar Games and Netflix have announced a first-of-its-kind partnership for the next major look at Grand Theft Auto VI. The presentation, officially titled Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, will premiere exclusively on Netflix on Thursday, August 27 at 3 p.m. ET.
It will then become available on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel and the Grand Theft Auto VI website six hours later, at 9 p.m. ET the same day.
The promotional artwork released alongside the announcement shows protagonists Lucia and Jason in a Vice City-inspired setting, with Lucia holding a pistol and wearing a red bandana over a “BADDIE” hoodie, while Jason pulls a dark bandana over his face. The poster features the familiar Grand Theft Auto logo treatment and confirms the Netflix premiere date and time.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are open, with a standard edition and a higher-priced Ultimate edition that includes additional in-game content.
This Netflix-first approach marks a notable shift in how Rockstar is handling major marketing beats for one of the most anticipated entertainment releases in years. Fans without a Netflix subscription will still be able to watch the full presentation free on YouTube and the official site later the same evening.
