Is Shutting Down The Cloud Gaming Service Stadia

 Google has plans to shut down the cloud gaming services Stadia in 2023. The cloud gaming service will remain live until January 18, 2023. 

The company also plans to refund all Stadia hardware purchases through the Google Store and all the games and add-on content purchased from the Stadia store. The customer can be expected to receive refunds by mid-January 2023.

"A few years ago, we also launched a consumer gaming service, Stadia. And while Stadia's approach to streaming games for consumers was built on a strong technology foundation, it hasn't gained the traction with users that we expected so we’ve made the difficult decision to begin winding down our Stadia streaming service". - Phil Harrison, Vice President and General Manager, Stadia

Shutting down Stadia is another effort of Google to cut their cost to make the company 20% more efficient.
